The custom designed eye in all of our trolling lures imitates the natural eye shape and coloring of the the "ballyhoo" baits eye. The pupil and outer holographic rings were developed and individually sized for each lure head shape and size to provide the final critical step in the predator-prey decision to strike. Each CanyonGear lure eye is custom Lazer cut from a computer program to exact size for the individual lure chosen.

CanyonGear was given the original lure "Masters" to update and bring this world famous fishing lure back into full production. The history of this world famous lure has it’ roots as Murray Bros. famous LNG-6. The Masher is the downsized evolution of that tackle lure formerly produced in Palm Beach, FL by Compleat Angler’s owner and the former head lure man at Murray Bros.
We secured the exclusive rights and have updated the fishing lure to our standards with specific designs and internal modifications.
The original head shape, weight and tracking were all kept intact to guarantee the originality of the sport fishing tackle lure.
The insert was re-worked to allow abalone and holographic tape inlays and a perfect amount of keel weight was added to allow the Masher to track better. The fishing lure butt re-worked to allow for double roll and tie skirting which produces a replaceable skirting capability should the need arise. Begin your custom lure making process below.

A SINGLE HOOK ONLY WITH MONO LEADER WILL BE RIGGED WITH A ROUND BEAD AND CHAFF TUBING AS A SPACER BETWEEN THE LURE HEAD AND THE HOOK CRIMP. THIS WILL SPACE THE HOOK CORRECTLY AT THE END OF THE SKIRT AND ADDS FURTHER PROTECTION TO THE LEADER. |
